An 8-Day Budget African Safari that combines your safari adventure of the untamed splendor of Kenya’s wildlife.
Upon arrival, you will commence your safari, heading south to the Amboseli National Park. With a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro (Africa’s highest mountain) and the abundant wildlife, Amboseli is a real spectacle. This is where you can see large herds of elephants and plains game, giraffes, gazelles, lions, leopards, etc., roaming the plains. You will arrive at Amboseli in time for lunch.
You will have an afternoon game drive, then head back to your hotel for overnight and dinner.
Today you will spend the whole day on game drives in the park. Weather permitting, you will spend the day under the back-drop of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro. Large herds of elephants that concentrate on the permanent swamp in the middle of the park are a must-see.
There will be an optional visit to a Maasai village, Manyatta, to learn more about the local people’s culture.
Lunch, dinner, and overnight at a safari lodge or a tented camp inside the park.
After breakfast, you will drive to Tsavo West National Park via the Shetani Lava, arriving in time for lunch at the Kilanguni Serena Lodge.
In the afternoon, you will go game viewing to see lions, cheetahs, rhinos, and leopards.
After breakfast, you will drive to Tsavo East via Mzima Springs for a chance to see hippos and crocodiles. You will arrive in time for lunch at the Ashnil Aruba Lodge. Later, you will go on an afternoon game drive in Kenya’s biggest national park, searching for the Big Five.
There are many elephants, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, and lions. Elephants glow red after dusk, blowing the vivid red dust through their trunks and over their bodies. Tsavo West houses a rhino sanctuary and a glasshouse at Mzima Springs, which will allow you to see animals roaming underneath you in the water. Your dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.
An early game drive will be the best opportunity for you to see nocturnal big cats on the hunt. You will also see elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and giraffes. The lions in Tsavo gained a reputation for being ‘man-eaters’ during the construction of the Mombasa – Uganda railway. You will eat breakfast and then drive to Severin Sea Lodge for your beach holiday.
You will have your breakfast and then go for a swim in the pool, sunbathe on the beach or go on a dhow tour. You will have the opportunity to go snorkeling and to swim with dolphins at the Kisite Marine Park. You will also have the opportunity to interact with the locals.
You will have a relaxing breakfast at the hotel and then go for a visit to the local community or on a boat trip along the reef. Some of the best beaches and hotels in East Africa are found in Kenya and you will be welcomed everywhere by friendly staff. During the day, you may visit some of the restaurants to sample some of the delicious cuisines from the area.
